Healthy Eating Week
Healthy Eating Week is an annual program that takes place in September to encourage our workers and young people to eat healthily and sustainably. This is run alongside the healthy meal plans that our young people already have in plae on a weekly basis. The program's themes include:
Monday: Know the facts and health advice
Tuesday: Make healthier choices
Wednesday: Plan meals
Thursday: Stay hydrated
Friday: Keep moving
The British Nutrition Foundation (BNF) supports healthy eating. They have some activities that can be done during Healthy Eating Week which our young people enjoyed taking part in. The week was a success! They all tried new foods that they hadn't eaten before, and learnt about where different foods come from and how to eat sustainably. They all planned out their healthy meal journal and made some great progress.
