Every day is a learning day here at K & G Care!! Alongside our busy training schedule, on the 30th May we had some 'County Lines and Street Crimes' training with the renowned expert Dean Coady OBE SRMC. He also completed a workshop with our young people on how to stay safe and increase their awareness of the dangers from criminal exploitation.

We thought that as safeguarding is a multi-agency effort, we would invite along a local social work child protection team to join us, so they too could gain the benefit of Dean's extraordinary experience of working with young people and gang crime.

He also introduced us to The Pizza Project which we have implemented with all our young people to ensure their safety when out on free time.

A big thank you to Dean for such an amazing training session. I know that we have all learnt some new skills we can put into practice. Dean is also now our Critical Friend - keeping us abreast of current crime trends and street based threat, risk and vulnerability affecting children and vulnerable adults.
